Mabel A. Kingsbury, 92

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Mabel A. (Goyea) Kingsbury, 92, a lifelong resident of Mansfield passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 24, 2009 at the Golden Living Center Garden Place in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth H. Kingsbury to whom she was wed for 51 years at the time of his death in 1989.
Born Mansfield, MA on March 28, 1917 she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Louise (Emmin) Goyea.
She was a graduate of Mansfield High school and prior to retiring had been employed for 27 in Housekeeping Records for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the former Foxboro State Hospital prior to retiring in 1978.
A communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield; her loving sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the fibers of her life. For many years Mabel enjoyed the wonderful summers spent in Maine and wintering in the Florida Keys.
Her hobbies included crocheting; she was an avid reader and was a former longtime member of the Mansfield Grange.
Mrs. Kingsbury is survived by her devoted sons Lee K. Kingsbury of Maine, Dennis E. Kingsbury of South Attleboro and Bruce W. Kingsbury of Mansfield. She was the sister of the late George Goyea, Elmer Goyea, Wilfred Goyea, Louise Cassidy, Florence Boucher, Lucy Henning and Raymond Goyea. Additional survivors include her cherished 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her extended sons Dana Estlick, Eric Collins, Robert Babineau, Jim Sasso, Jim Moyanahan, Gil Wrigley, Paul Miller and Alan Cote.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday June 29th at 8:00 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield followed by a mass of Christian burial celebrated at 9:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday June 28th from 5-8 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
