Obituary

WORCESTER-Julius W. Egnatosky, 85, of Worcester, died Tuesday, June 23rd in Lexington Health Care Center. His wife of 46 years, Rose (Giorgio) Egnatosky died in 1995. He leaves two daughters, Anna Geer of Cambridge and Linda Duggan of Worcester; three grandchildren, Amy Maranda, Christina Duggan and Michael Duggan; a great granddaughter, Allie-Rose Maranda and several nephews and nieces. His daughter, Julia Grindley predeceased him.
Mr. Egnatosky was born in Lowell, the son of Julius and Beatrice (Novelle) Egnatosky. He worked as an Iron Worker for the former Local 57 (now the Local 7) until his retirement. Mr. Egnatosky was a WWII U.S. Army veteran, serving with the First Armored Infantry and fought in the Mediterranean War in Italy. He was a former member of Our Lady of Loreto Church and attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
The funeral is Friday, June 26th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, June 25th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
