Ramo “Ray” Imperioso, 86 of Medford, died Sunday after a long illness in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford, MA.
Born in East Boston, he lived in Medford for the past 50 years and was the son of the late Maria (Faretra) and Angelo Imperioso. Ray was a Custodian of 35 years at the Boston Latin School and retired in 1991. He served during World War II in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946. Late member of the American Legion Post 110 Port Charlotte, FL.
Beloved husband of Aida (Ferraro) Imperioso. Devoted father of Angela Koerber of Malden, Roberta Nary and Ray Imperioso both of Medford and the late Joyce Walton. Also survived by 5 loving grandchildren and 1 loving Great Grandson. Brother of Guilio Imperioso of Revere, and the late Priscilla Letras, Marion Famolore, Joseph and Arthur Imperioso.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
