Marjorie E. Evangelista, 70, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on June 19th, 2009. She was born in Medford on May 17th, 1939 to her parents Ralph and Ruth Bugden. Marjorie was raised and educated in Medford, graduating from Medford High School in 1957. She is a former resident of Billerica and Wayland and has lived in Londonderry , New Hampshire for the past 2 years. When her children were young, she volunteered her time serving as a Cub Scout Den Mother. First and foremost, Marjorie was a homemaker who was devoted to her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her husband, Carlo F. Evangelista; by her son, Steven C. Evangelista and his wife Holly of Northborough; by her granddaughters Megan and Cathryn Evangelista; and by her sisters, Ruth Foden of Hampstead, New Hampshire and Barbara O’Connor of Naples, Florida. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her son John D. Evangelista. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Wednesday June 24th at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday June 23rd from 2-8 PM.
