Violet Linnea (Jokinen) Kisko, age 92 of Westport, passed away June 19, 2009. Widow of Allan A. Kisko. Born in Hibbing, MN, daughter of the late Isaac & Impi (Kovanen) Jokinen. Before retiring in 1982, she worked in Sales at K-Mart Corp. for 20 yrs.; previously, she worked as a Beautician for 30 yrs.
She is survived by 2 Daughters: Patricia Holst and Linnea Assad both of Westport. 1 Brother: Archie Kovanen of WA. 6 Grandchildren. 8 Great -Grandchildren. Several nieces & nephews. She was also mother of the late Robert A. Kisko, and sister of the late Walfrid Jokinen & Helen Niskanen.
Her funeral will take place in the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Sunday with visitation from 12-2 P.M. followed by a service at 2:00 P.M. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Glaucoma Research Foundation, 251 Post St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94108.
