WORCESTER-Atanasia (Gracof) Isildakli, 76, of Worcester, died Wednesday, June 17th in St. Vincent Hospital. Her husband, Konstandinos Isildakli died in 1996. She leaves two sons, Vasil Isildakli and his wife, Vasilika of Paxton and Yanni Isildakli and his wife, Nancy of Worcester; her daughter, Anastasia, wife of Chris Christoforou of Worcester; a brother, George Gracof of Worcester; five grandchildren, Daniella, John, Dean, Thanasi and Anthony; many nephews and nieces, including Ferruh Gocemen of Colorado and cousins. Her sister Anna Gocemen died in 1999.
She was born in Istanbul, Turkey the daughter of Vasil and Anastasia (Karalazou) Gracof and had lived here many years. Mrs. Isildakli had worked as a machine operator for Parker Manufacturing for 25 years, retiring in 1998. She was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Catherdral.
The funeral is Saturday, June 20th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a service at 10:00 a.m. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, June 19th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
