Jon B. Richardson of Wilmington, formerly of Reading, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at The Merrimack Valley Hospice House. He was 72 of age.
Born in Reading, Jon was the loving son of the late William G. Richardson and Elinore K. (Dooley) Richardson. Jon was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend.
Jon was a loyal and dedicated Oil Burner Service Man with Smith Oil Co. in Reading for over 60 years. He was an avid hunter. Jon grew up in Reading. He enjoyed spending his life in Reading. His true love was for his family. They meant everything to him.
Jon was the beloved husband of Alice M. (Amirault) Richardson. He was the devoted father of Kim Richardson of Chester, New Hampshire, Christine Dresser and her husband Robert of Litchfield, New Hampshire. Jon was the stepfather of Donna Whalen and her husband Michael of Salem, New Hampshire, Michael Stanley, Kevin Stanley and his wife Dianne, all of Wakefield, Mark Stanley of Texas, Alan Stanley and his wife Kylee of Wakefield. He was the cherished grandfather of 14 and great grandfather of 3. Jon was the dear brother of Myrna Livingston and her husband Earl of Tewksbury, William G. Richardson Jr. and his wife Patricia of North Reading, Patricia Finerty and her husband Dean of Barnstead, New Hampshire, Jean Doherty and her husband Joseph of Pelham, New Hampshire. He was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service celebrating Jon’s life will be held on Friday at 11am in the Chapel of the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Thursday from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Interment Wood End Cemetery, Reading.
