WORCESTER-Kathleen T. (Leary) Maddalena, 75, of 1350 Main Street formerly of 1060 Main Street died Saturday, July 19th in Clark manor Nursing Home after an illness. Her husband, John J. Maddalena died in 1960. She leaves a son, John Maddalena of Worcester; a brother, Francis Leary of Seattle, Washington and many nieces and nephews. 2 sisters, Sr. Rita Leary and Marion Paradis predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Patrick and Mary (Sullivan) Leary and lived here all of her life. She graduated from St. Stephen’s High School and was a former member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church. Mrs. Maddalena worked as a Nurse’s Aide at the Goddard House for many years before retiring in 1991. Previously, she worked at New England Telephone.
The funeral will be Tuesday, July 22nd from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue with a mass at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, July 21st from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
