Mr. Raymond Charles Erbetta of Tewksbury, formerly of Woburn, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the Blair House Nursing Center in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, following a lengthy illness. He was 78 years old.
Raymond was the beloved husband to Louisa (Galassi) Erbetta, beloved father to the late Richard Erbetta, Robert Erbetta and fiancé, Sunny Yi, Edward Erbetta and his wife, Julie and the doting grandfather to one grandson; Christian Erbetta (son of Edward and Julie), all of Tewksbury, MA.
Born in Somerville on February 10, 1931, Raymond was the beloved son of the late Erasmo and Rose (Pasciutto) Erbetta. He had been employed by Addison-Wesley in Reading, Massachusetts, as the Facilities Manager for many years prior to retiring. He was a WWII Army Veteran. Mr. Erbetta was an avid gardener, always enjoying and maintaining his gardens in Woburn and at his Cape Cod home in Falmouth, Massachusetts.
Calling hours were held Wednesday, June 17, 2009, in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, from 5 to 8 P.M. His Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Augustine’s Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover, on Thursday, June 18, 2009, at 10:00 A.M. The burial immediately followed in West Parish Garden Cemetery, Andover, Massachusetts. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended.
