Iva Louise Embesi, age 91, passed away on Sunday June 14, 2009 in La Grange.
Iva was born on July 17, 1917 to parents Ira and Wilma Parks Rowan in Lovelady, Texas.
She was married to T. A. Embesi on November 29, 1944 in Houston, She was a retired homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Srubar and her husband Frankie of Round Top; one son Thomas King and his wife Elena of Houston; grandchildren Tina Kallus and her husband Russell of Fayetteville; Tommy King and his wife Tammy of Conroe; Jennifer Sweeny and her husband Kenny of Kingwood; Stephen King of Houston and Misty Sanchez and her husband Andy of Katy. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday June 17, 2009 from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family will receive visitors from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday evening.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday June 18, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. from the Second Baptist Church in La Grange. Interment to follow in the Florida Chapel Cemetery, near Round Top.
Memorials may be made to the Second Baptist Church in La Grange; the 4H club of your choice, or the Volunteer Fire Department of your choice.
