Warren J. Ames, age 58, passed away June 7th, following a lengthy illness. Born in Woburn, he was the devoted son of the late Alice R. (Castine) & Robert W. Ames Sr.
Warren lived in Billerica for many years and was formerly of Woburn. He was a graduate of Wentworth Institute & Benjamin Franklin Institute and worked for many years as a mechanical engineer in the technology industry. He was a former member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks and was also a former member Billerica town meeting. Always active, Warren enjoyed coaching and supporting his children when they were involved in Billerica youth sports.
Warren is survived by his loving children, Stephen and Michael Ames both of North Billerica and Kimberly Ames of Attleboro. He is also survived by his loving companion Cindy Martino of Haverhill and his brother Robert Ames Jr. of Punta Gorda, FL. He is predeceased by his brother, the late Richard Ames.
A memorial service will be held at the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Tuesday June 16, 2009 at 7PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the McLaughlin – Dello Russo Funeral Home, Tuesday June 16th, from 4 thru 7PM. Interment will be private.
