Beloved sister of Agnes Thompson of Chelsea and the late Beatrice Bishop, Albert, James and Edward O'Brien. Cherished grandmother of Keryne D. Flaherty of Chelsea and Tanisha E. Flaherty of Modesto, California. Also lovingly survived her her great grandson Spencer Wright as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Tuesday, June 16th at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in Our Lady of Grace Church, 59 Nichols Street, CHELSEA at 9 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Monday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
A lifelong Chelsea resident, Edna, at 83, passed away Wednesday evening at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. A graduate of St. Rose High School, she worked a as a medical secretary at the Soldiers Home for 26 years retiring in March of 1991.
