Obituary

Frances "Dolly" Osborne, passed away on Wednesday, June 10 at the Melrose - Wakefield Hospital following an extended illness. She was the wife of the late John J. Osborne.

Dolly was born and raised in Boston. One of eleven children, she was the daughter of the late Santa (Saraceno) and Domenic Macaluso. She settled in Medford in the 1950's with her late husband and has been a Medford resident for over fifty years. A fiercely independent woman, Dolly was a community activist who would not be bashful about offering her opinions at city hall about the many developments in the Wellington section of Medford. Dolly's family always came first in her life and her legacy and tradition of community involvement is being carried on by her family today.

Dolly is survived by her four children, Ellen Attenazio, and John Osborne of Medford, Domenic Osborne of Lawrence and Linda Roux of Wilmington. Also nine loving grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She also leaves two brothers, Angelo Macaluso of Virginia and Frank Macaluso of Brewster.

Her family will receive friends on Friday, June 12, from 4 thru 8 p.m. at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford. Family and friends may gather Saturday, June 13, at 8 a.m. at the Dello Russo Funeral Home of Medford for a procession to St. Joseph Church, 118 High St. Medford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford


Along with her husband she is predeceased by three sisters, Fannie Serra, Sally Leonard and Mary Marino and five brothers, Joe, Guy, Peter, Jim and Charlie Macaluso.
