Brother of Thomas Erwin of Brighton, Eleanor Barry of Norwood and the late James Erwin.
Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.Visiting Hours Sunday 4-7 pm
Obituary
Mr. Erwin died Friday morning at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Allston, son of the late James and Eleanor (Howlett) Erwin and had been a Brockton resident for the past 20 years. He had worked for many years at the South Station Postal Annex.
During the Korean Conflict, he served in the US Army stationed in Hawaii. Past member of DAV.
Survived by his wife Katharyne (Mosher) Erwin 2 daughters, Patricia Hazel and Mary Erwin both of Clinton, 3 stepsons, Anthony Zimbone of Woburn, John Zimbone of Dorchester, Michael Zimbone of Dorchester, 7 grandchildren, a brother Thomas Erwin of Brighton and a sister Eleanor Barry of Norwood.
Husband of the late Roberta (Savagae) Erwin and father of the late Jean Marie Erwin and Stepfather of the late Kenneth Zimbone and brother of the late James Erwin.
