Obituary

In Taunton, June 10, 2009 Antone R. Age 88 died in Morton Hospital after a period of failing health. Antone is survived by his loving wife Mary (McGann) Katon. He was born in Dighton to his late parents Joseph & Mary (Verissimo) Katon. Antone was educated in Dighton schools and served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After his service in the Navy he was employed at F.B. Rogers Silver Co., Sheridan Silver Co. and the Dighton Police Dept. retiring as a sergeant. Antone was a member of the Dighton Police Association, VFW, and he enjoyed gardening,hunting, fishing, golfing, animals and being with family, especially his grandchilden. Besides his wife Mary, Antone leaves his children Thomas M. Katon & his wife Lynn of Seekonk, Maryann Katon of Taunton, Patricia Grenon & her husband Donald of Somerset and Paula Bradbury & her husband Robert of Dighton. His siblings Rose Katon of North Dighton, Margaret Brown of CT. and the late Mary Courcy, Joseph, Manuel, John and Louis Katon. His grandchildren Courtney Katon, Cassie Katon, Trevor Grenon, Danielle Grenon and Jeffrey Bradbury. Also several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton on Monday, June 15th at 10am. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Nicholas of Myra Church in North Dighton at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sunday from 4-7pm. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Somerset.
