Anne Katz (Waldman) of Revere died on May 19, 2009 at Hebrew Senior Life in Boston. She was 95 years old. Anne was predeceased by her husband Abraham who passed away in 1972.
Anne was born in Chelsea and attended the Chelsea schools and high school. She was a retired cosmetologist at Jordan Marsh Department Store as well a retired medical secretary. Anne was a member of many organizations including Hadassah, B’Nai Brith, The Hebrew Rehabilitation in Roslindale, N’Amat, and the Massachusetts Association of Older Americans. She was also an Officer and First Vice President as well as a member of the Jack Satter House Tenants Association.
Anne was the devoted mother of Barbara (Katz) Bornstein and her husband Dr. Robert Bornstein and Allan Katz and his wife Harriet. She was the dear sister of the late Bessie Miller and Edward Waldman. Anne was the loving grandmother of Beth (Bornstein) Dunnington and her husband Steven, Dr. Michael Bornstein and his wife Aimee, Daniel Katz and his wife Kimberly and Adam Katz. She was the loving great grandmother of Marena and Sean Dunnington, Alec and Zack Bornstein, and Alison and Zachary Katz.
Private funeral services and memorial observance were held. Donations in Anne’s memory may be made to the Jack Satter House Tenant Association, 420 Revere Beach Blvd., Revere MA 02151 or to the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center, 1200 Centre St., Boston, MA 02131.
