Obituary

Ocala, FL- Augustine "Gus" Nicholas Piazza died Monday June 1st after a long illness. He was 88 years old.
Born in Buffalo New York June 16, 1920 to the late Nicola and Josephine Piazza Gus was raised in Lawrence Massachusetts. Gus attended the Lawrence school system and graduated from Lawrence High School.
Gus was a long time resident of Andover Massachusetts and active in Saint Augustine Church.
Gus and his wife Mary were both active in the American Kennel Club where they raised, trained and showed Champion Boston Terriers. Gus is a former President of the American Kennel Club Association.
Upon his retirement as a Supervisor from Western Electric No Andover Mass, Gus and Mary moved to Ocala, Florida where they lived for many years. In Ocala, Gus and Mary were active in Our Lady of the Spring Catholic Church and also sang in the church choir. Gus and Mary enjoyed summers at Lake Winnipesaukee and continued to travel to Laconia every year to see old friends and family in the North East.
Gus is survived by his wife of 58 years Mary McDonnell Piazza of Ocala, Fl, Brother Adam Piazza and his wife Mary of Haverhill, sister Eve and her husband Leo Ashline of New York and many nieces and nephews. Gus was also the brother of the late Frank Piazza, Sam Piazza, Rita Croteau, Josephine Spatola and Mary Piazza.
ARRANGEMENTS: a Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Augustine's Church of Andover, MA. with burial to follow in St. Augustine's Cemetery also in Andover.
