Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Powell, 80, of Ashburn, GA. will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Perry Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Powell passed away Thursday at Heritage Health Care.
The daughter of the late Reddan and Effie Brown Quinn she was born in Evans Co., GA. A member of the Sycamore Baptist Church she enjoyed working in her yards. She was the widow of Fate Thomas Powell, Sr. and was also preceded in death by a son Robert Orval Powell.
Survivors include her children, Fate Thomas (Linda) Powell, Jr, Palmetta, GA; James Dennis Powell, Ashburn, GA; Elizabeth Ann Woods, Fitzgerald, GA; and Donna Faye (Arthur) Perrin, Chula, GA. Also surviving at seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday at Perry Funeral Chapel from 1:00 PM until the hour of services
