SHREWSBURY - Mrs. Mary A. (Maffeo) Trippi, 91, passed away Wednesday June 3rd at Worcester Medical Center – St Vincent Hospital
She is survived by three sons, Frank J. Trippi of Shrewsbury, Anthony M. Trippi and his wife Janet of Shrewsbury, Michael Trippi and his wife Lisa of Worcester; a daughter, Sandi Trippi – Leroux and her husband Marty of Shrewsbury; a sister, Anne Bianco of Worcester; two brothers, Americo Albrizio of Florida, Eugene Albrizio of Shrewsbury; six grandchildren, Anthony Trippi Jr, Frank Trippi, Elizabeth Hein, Marcie Trippi, Nicholas Trippi, and Michelle Leroux; also five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Born July 21, 1917 in Worcester, Massachusetts she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Lola (DiDino) Maffeo. Wife of fifty-one years to the late Frank J. Trippi Sr. who passed in 1991.
She was also pre-deceased by her stepfather, Michael Albrizio who raised her due to the early death of her father, and a brother Joseph Albrizio.
Mary was educated through the Shrewsbury School System where she enjoyed playing basketball, field hockey and swimming.
She was a member of St Anne’s Church of Shrewsbury, the Rose Club, the Shrewsbury Women’s Club, and the St Anne’s Women’s Guild. Her hobbies included ceramics, painting and crocheting. Mary loved to cook, being with her family and entertaining.
Her funeral will be held Saturday June 6th from FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St. Worcester with a Funeral Mass at 10a.m. at St Anne’s Church, Shrewsbury. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to St. Anne’s’ Human Services, 130 Boston Turnpike Rd, Shrewsbury, Ma. 01545. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
