Mrs. Valeriani passed away Wednesday at the Blueberry Hill Healthcare Nursing Home in Beverly following a lengthy illness. Born in Vermont she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Maria (Iorio) Mastascusa. She was a Medford resident for most of her life and together with her late husband Michael, they owned and operated the Riverside Market in Medford for many years. Mrs. Valeriani was an avid supporter of the Society of St. Jude and also enjoyed music and going to musicals in and around the Boston area. As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions may be made in Emelia´s memory the Blueberry Hill Resident Activity Fund 75 Brimbal Ave, Beverly, MA 01915, where she leaves many loving friends and a supportive and dedicated nursing staff.
Mrs. Valeriani is survived by two daughters, Nancy Scanzani of Ipswich, Marie Carlile of Clifton Park, NY and a son, Michael Valeriani Jr. Of Newburyport. She is also survived by five loving grandchildren. Sister of Anne D´Amico of Tewksbury, Albert Mastascusa of Medford, the late Michael Mastascusa and Rose Meloni.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, Saturday at 8 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. James Church, 779 Fellsway, Medford at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford
