Obituary

DRACUT - Rita B . (Bishop) Kendall, 81, a longtime resident of Dracut, died unexpectedly Saturday May 30th at her home. She was the wife of the late Donald E. Kendall, who died on May 27, 2008.

She was born in Chelmsford on January 10, 1928, and she was the daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Perron) Bishop. She received her education in Chelmsford schools.

Mrs. Kendall's primary job in her life was raising and taking care her family and helping to raise her grandchildren. She had also worked outside the home and prior to her retirement, she was employed as an assembler by M.I.T. in Lexington. Earlier in her career, she was employed for 20 years as a supervisor by Symphonics in Lowell.

In her free time she enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and gardening.

She was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Dracut.

She is survived by two sons, Donald E. Kendall Jr. and his wife Barbara, and Richard A. Kendall and his wife Cheryl, all of Center Barnstead, NH; two daughters, Sandra Ouellette of Pelham, NH and Cynthia Gross of Peaks Island, ME; a son-in-law, Richard Ouellette of Limerick, ME; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Jeannette and Anna; two brothers, Edward and Raymond; her close friends and neighbors, Teddy Kosiavelon and family of Dracut; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Thursday from 8:30 until 10:15 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Dracut. Interment in Oakland Cemetery in Dracut. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
