Thomas J. O’Malley, of Plymouth formerly of Halifax, passed away on May 31st at the age of 71. He is survived by his beloved wife S. Marguerite O’Malley (Megna), son of the late Thomas F. and Mary T. (Monahan) O’Malley. He is also survived by his loving children Deborah O’Malley, Dorothy Anglin and her husband Robert, Susan O’Malley, Thomas O’Malley, James O’Malley, Sean O’Malley, Patrick O’Malley and Michael O’Malley and his wife Tanya. He also leaves his stepchildren Cheryl Ann and Charles Griffin, his sister Ellen Gorham, his brother John O’Malley, many grandchildren and 2 nieces. Thomas graduated from Boston Technical High School and worked as a meat inspector for the USDA for 35 years. He served in the U.S Air Force during the Korean Conflict as an air policeman in the 818th Combat Defense Squadron. Thomas loved the ocean and especially spending time with his family. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday June 4th at St. Bonaventure’s Church in Plymouth at 11 AM followed by burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Plymouth. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday June 3rd at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) from 4 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Jordan Hospital Oncology, 275 Sandwich St, Plymouth, MA 02360.
