Obituary

Boni Jo Wheeler, 56, of Summerville, wife of Rick Wheeler, died Monday, June 1, 2009 at the Hospice Center of Charleston in Mount Pleasant.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 3 o’clock at Bethany United Methodist Church, Summerville. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville.
Friends may visit at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Summerville from 6 until 8 o’clock Wednesday evening.

Boni Jo was born May 25, 1953 in Des Moines, Iowa, daughter of Dorothy Arlene Kever Fries of Summerville and the late James Russell Fries. She was a graduate of New Hanover High School and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She was a past member of the American Society of Quality Control and Phi Mu. She worked many years at C.R. Bard as a Lab Supervisor and later worked at the Bank of America. She was a beauty consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics and a sales representative for Tupperware. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Boni’s greatest joy in life was watching her son, Brett’s baseball career grow from t-ball to college.
