Obituary

Albert Wallace Keeny, 76, of Panama City, Florida, died Saturday, May 30, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday, June 2 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with Dr. Mike Ruffin officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be held 7-9 Monday at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.

Mr. Keeny was born August 10, 1932 in Fitzgerald to the late Russell Keeny and Mary Etta Gun Jacobs. He was a graduate of Fitzgerald High School. Mr. Keeny was a retired Master Sgt. in the US Air Force serving during the Korean War and Vietnam War with more than 21 years of service. He was also the owner/operator of Keeny’s Auto Repair in Panama City, Florida. He was of the Baptist Faith and an avid fisherman.

Mr. Keeny is survived by a son and daughter Donald (Debbie) Keeny and Teena (Jerry) Crump both of Panama City, Florida; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, sister, Tilma K. Portivent, brother, Bill (Jean) Jacobs both of Fitzgerald; Step-mother, Hazel Keeny, half brothers and sister, Jimmy Keeny, Ricky Keeny and Linda Hacker all of Florida. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jacqulyn McCollum Keeny and brothers, Freddy Jacobs, Gene Keeny and Zan Keeny.
