PAXTON-Marjorie A. (Monks) Wahlstrom, 78, of Paxton, died Friday, May 29th in UMass Memorial Hospital. She leaves her husband of 59 years, Edmund J. Wahlstrom; two daughters, Kendra L. Wahlstrom and her husband Gary M. Hawkins of Manchester, England and Sandra L. and her husband Frederick M. Misilo of Holden; two grandchildren, Geoffrey and Jessica Misilo, both of Holden; two sisters, Irene Downing of Woonsocket, RI and Lois Stearns of Little Rock, AK; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Wahlstrom was born in Worcester, the daughter of Edwin and Alice M. (Stringer) Monks. She was a 1948 graduate of South High School. Mrs. Wahlstrom enjoyed travelling, vacationing in Maine and gardening, and loved animals.
The funeral is Tuesday, June 2nd with a service at 11:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, June 1st from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an animal foundation of the donor’s choice.
