BURLINGTON - Edna F. (Robinson) Turner, age 77, a resident of Burlington for the past five decades, died Wednesday morning, May 27, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Edwin G. Turner Jr., who died in 1987, and the companion of Larry "Smiley" Porter for the last 20 years.
She was born in Cambridge, August 28, 1931, a daughter of the late William and Anna (Funicello) Robinson, and raised in the Somerville and Cambridge area. She had lived in Burlington since 1955, where she was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church.
She devoted her life to her family and enjoyed her home life including gardening and feeding "her ducks" and any other wildlife that stopped by at "Lake Edna" in her back yard, enjoyed floral arranging, cake decorating, and loved her day trips to Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods. She loved to dance and excelled at ballroom, square and line dancing. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Post 8546 in Dover, NH.
She is survived by four daughters, Donna Wickson of Burlington, Denise Indelicato of Nashua, NH, Doreen R. Turner of Danvers, Robin O'Neill and her husband Joseph of Burlington; a son, Edwin G. Turner III and his wife Karen (Sloan) of Dover, NH; a brother, William Robinson Jr. and his wife Marie of Tewksbury; a sister, June Kasparian of CA; nine grandchildren, George Wickson IV, and Krysta Wickson both of Haverhill, Paul Indelicato II of Nashua, Edwin G. Turner IV of Dover, NH, Coreen Allard of No. Conway, NH, Laura lee Turner of Lebanon, ME, Joseph P. O'Neill Jr., Sarah and Ashley O'Neill all of Burlington; ten great grandchildren, Brooke, Dylan, Shontell, Destiny, Justice, Mariah, Tylar, Ryan, Lilly and Jaylee; and several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, June 1, in St. Margaret's Church, Burlington. Burial followed in Tewksbury Cemetery.
