Richard A. Parchesco, a lifelong resident of Dighton, passed away suddenly on May 27, 2009.
He was the beloved husband for 61 years of Marion L. (Souza) Parchesco.
Richard was the co-owner for many years of the Dighton Red & White Market before retiring as a foreman for Hampshire Lead Crystal, a division of Princess House.
He loved spending time with his family and friends, and as a member of the class of 1946 at Dighton High School, he enjoyed his annual class reunions.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Stephen and wife Sue Parchesco of Dighton, Maria Nardone and husband Gary of Lexington, Kathryn Parchesco of Dighton, Beth Parchesco-LaPlante and husband Michael of Swansea, and Kerry Trabusana and husband Joseph of Lake Worth, FL.
He also leaves his cherished grandchildren, Cara and Richard S. Parchesco, Andrea and Christina Nardone, Barret and Arianna LaPlante and Evan and Aidan Trabusana.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Saturday, May 30th at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Nicholas of Myra Church, N. Dighton, at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 29th from 5 to 8 p.m.
