Lonnie Dale Farmer, age 60, died Monday, May 25, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - N MS in Oxford, MS. Born July 1, 1948 in Water Valley, MS, he was a son of Reed Farmer, Jr. and Christine Shepherd Farmer. Mr. Farmer worked at Motts in Water Valley, MS and at Heatcraft in Grenada, MS. He was a member of the Church of God.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 27, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. The service will take place Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Burney officiating. The committal will be held in Goshen Cemetery in Coffeeville, MS with David Duke, Lloyd Defer, Larry Hart, Eddie Magee, Hayden Scoggins, Jeremy Sartain, and Frankie Brown serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Travis York, Joe Farmer, and Robert Crocker.
Mr. Farmer is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lynda Crocker Farmer of Coffeeville, MS; a son, Lonnie Dale Farmer, Jr. of Coffeeville, MS; four sisters, Reeda Farmer Cofer, Sandra Farmer Cofer, and Cathy Farmer Sartain, all of Water Valley, MS, and Janice Farmer Winters of Iuka, MS; two brothers, Franklin Lee Brown of Coffeeville, MS and Billy Joe Farmer of Bruce, MS.
