Obituary

Jimmie Lenora White Jackson, 91, of Tifton died Saturday, May 23, 2009, at Southern Care Assisted Living. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Trinity United Methodist Church. Rev. B. J. Funk will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Jason Hendricks, Jeremy Nunn, Rollins Jackson, Neal Hardy, Larry Hendricks, Chris Hendricks and Charles E. "Woody" Davis, Jr. will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Harold Harper, Mr. Bob Gartman, Mr. Dave Warren, Mr. Edd Paulk, Mr. Ware Gardner and Mr. Dennis "Duke" Snyder, Mr. Don Bowen, Mr. Doug Bowen and members of the McCord Sunday school class at Trinity United Methodist Church.

Mother has been loving, caring, nurturing, and generous to all of us every day of our lives. Through the years, she has so unselfishly given to us her love, her wisdom, and her guidance, whether we were making every day decisions or life-changing moves. Her unconditional love, faith and support made our worlds more perfect, safe, and secure. This is her legacy.
Mrs. Jackson was born on September 20, 1917 and was the daughter of James White and Mary Sue White, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy R. Jackson, Sr.; three brothers and one sister. She was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Jackson left behind one son and daughter-in-law, Roy R. Jr. and Diane Jackson of Tifton; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Kathryn Jackson Hardy and her husband Ron of Panama City, Florida, Mary Glynn Hendricks and her husband Larry of Tifton, and Susan Jackson of Statesboro. Mrs. Jackson is also survived by seven grandchildren, Rollins Jackson and his wife Deidra, Jason Hendricks and his wife Cynthia, Jayme Hendricks of Tifton, Jennifer Morris and her husband David of Statesboro, Jeremy Nunn of St. Simons Island, Caron Reid and her husband Kevin and Neal Hardy of Panama City, Florida. Mrs. Jackson had two great grandchildren, Joshua Grimsley and Jase Hendricks. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who she loved dearly as her own children.
