Obituary

Rose M. (Falone) King, 98 of Walpole died May 23 in the Charlwell House in Norwood. She was the wife of the late John S. King.
Born in Walpole, September 8, 1910, the daughter of the late Domenic and Angela (Pulano) Falone, Mrs. King was a lifelong Walpole resident.
Mrs. King was a 1928 graduate of Walpole High School.
Mrs. King had worked as an assembler at the Foxboro Company before retiring. She had previously worked as a millinery worker.
Mrs. King used her talent for making hats to make hats for homeless shelters, the Little Home for Wanderers and state hospitals.
She used to make over 100 hats every year for many years and even after her sight diminished, she continued to do so.
She is survived by her daughters, Jane King of Walpole and Anita King of Wrentham.
She was the mother of the late Elinor Westerhoff.
She was the sister of the late Louis and Lena Falone and Phyllis Huff.
Mrs. King was the grandmother of 5 and great-grandmother of 5.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 27 in Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in South Walpole.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00-9:45 a.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main St. in Walpole.
