VOTAN - Russell D. “Rusty” Votan, 65, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009. He was born September 29, 1943 in Fort Smith, AR and moved to Yulee, FL in 2002 from Sumter, SC. Rusty enjoyed fishing, cooking out and watching NASCAR. But most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a man of good humor and someone who could be relied upon. He is survived by daughter, Janet Worley of Kingsland, GA; a step son, Paul Minot (Diana) of Gainesville, FL; two sisters, Linda Black (Doug) of Pensacola, FL and Susan Walton of Columbus, GA; and five grandchildren, Trevor, Stephen, Garrett, Valerie and Kristen. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 23, in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Bradbury officiating.
