KAELIN, JAMES EDWARD, 74, of Louisville passed away at his home Thursday May 21, 2009.
He retired from Louisville Gas & Electric; he was a Marine veteran of the Korean War, and a Catholic by faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Frank Kaelin; brothers, John and Charles Kaelin.
He his survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Nancy Carol (Hibdon); his daughter, Stephanie Thompson (Steve); grandson, Nicholas James Thompson; six sisters, Patricia Bindner, Joyce Green, Martha Gray, Mary Hagan, Clara Watts and Virginia Middleton; one brother Kenneth Kaelin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be Saturday, 11 a.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
Entombment is in Bethany Cemetery, Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday.
