Claire Janelle, 87, of Manchester, died May 21, 2009, at Maple Leaf Health Care.
She was born in Manchester, November 24, 1921, and was the daughter of Nestor and Annie(Dion) Lemire. She was a member of The Parish of the Transfiguration.
In addition to being a wonderful homemaker, she was also a member of the Catholic War Veterans auxiliary, and the Sodality of St. Anne. Later she volunteer for both the Catholic Medical Center, and the Elliott Hospital, knitting hats for new born infants.
Family members include: Louise Janelle, of Dover, Constance Janelle and her husband Russel Davis of West Grove, of PA, Jacqueline Brough and her husband Rick, of Dunbarton, Felice Janelle of Hooksett, Andrea Plante and her husband Ron, of North Conway; 6 grandchildren, Janelle Kubica and her husband Jeff of Rome, ME, Joy Hammer, Melanie Hoitt, John Hoitt, Emma Plante and Mia Plante; her step grandchildren, Pamela Purk and husband Nathan, Rick Brough and his wife Amanda; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband Jerome Janelle, in April, 2008.
A funeral Mass of Christian was celebrated Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at The Parish of the Transfiguration, Kelly St. Manchester.
Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
