Obituary

Frederick E. WEBSTER, 84, formerly of Mountaindale Road, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the Golden Crest Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Ruth S. (Cooke) Webster.

A son of the late Frederick E. and Minnie R. (Lambert) Webster, he lived in Smithfield for over 37 years and had previously lived in Johnston and Warwick.

Mr. Webster was an Army veteran and served in the US Naval Reserve. He was employed at Quonset Point Naval Air Station in the packing department for 25 years retiring in 1972 and worked at VA Medical Center from 1973 to 1979.

He the sexton and a member of the choir at Georgiaville Baptist Church and a member of Masonic Temple Lodge No. 18, F & A. M.

He is survived by his children, Frederick E. Webster, Jr. of Wakefield, Michael S. Webster of Johnston, Linda A. Beaudry of Riverview, FL and Nancy Lee Giraitis of Cranston, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a a great great grandchild. He was the grandfather of the late Michele Beaudry and brother of the late Henry Charlwood.

Funeral Service Wednesday 11:30am in Georgiaville Baptist Church, 100 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917. Burial in Highland Park. Visitation Tuesday 5-8pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Georgiaville Baptist Church.
