JOHNSON, RUTH M., 87, passed away Monday, May 18, 2009.
She was a retired employee of G. C. Murphy Co. and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter One.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pharm Johnson; and her son, Wayne Johnson.
Survivors include her daughter, Audrey Ash; her grandchildren, Gary and Kevin Patton, Darlene Beam, Yvonne Basham, and James Johnson; great grandchildren, O'Ryan, Nicole, Vanessia, Amanda, Felisha, Amber, Olivia, Kristen, and Dwayne; great-great grandchildren, Dayton, Jayden, Rayonna, Andrew, Alexis; and her nephew, Milton "Skip" Souter.
Funeral service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with cremation to follow.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. Tuesday.
