Ewing, Ernest "Ernie" Gordon 83 of Louisville passed away Saturday, May 16, 2009 at the V.A. Medical Center. He was born in Louisville.
He retired from Falls City Brewery and was the former owner of Algonquin Liquors.
He was a Navy Veteran of World War II where he served on the U.S.S. Converse and was a Lutheran by faith.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Frank and Jimmy Ewing.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years the former Shirley M. Boettcher,
his children Michael Ewing (Theresa), Thomas A. Ewing (Debra), Randall P. Ewing Sr. (Judi),and Katherine M. Bissell (Mark). Grandchildren Sonya, Phil, Randy, Patrick, Bradley, Randall Jr., Jonathon, Tyler, Marie, and Cameron. Great Grandchildren Christopher, Cheryl, Trenton, Brandon, and Olivia. One Sister Dora Brown (Frankie).
His Funeral Service will be 11 am Wednesday May 20, 2009 at Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown,9318 Taylorsville Rd.
Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-8 at the Funeral Home.
