Gladys Irene Reeves White, 86, of Coffeeville, MS passed away Thursday, May 14, 2009 at the Yalobusha County Nursing Home in Water Valley, MS. She was born in Iuka, MS on October 4, 1922 to the late John Bell and Savannah Murry Reeves. She was a homemaker and a member of the Community Full Gospel Assembly of God in Charleston , MS.
The visitation will be Saturday evening, May 16, 2009 from 5 to 7 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. The funeral service will be held in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 17, 2009 with Rev. C. H. Newcomb officiating. The committal will take place at New Hope Cemetery in Yalobusha County, MS.
Mrs. White is survived by five daughters, Linda French Prestage of Bruce, MS, Zelma French Sims of Water Valley, MS, Nell Dunn Norwood of Coffeeville, MS, Nancy Ellen White Rhea of New Albany, MS, and Judy Irene White Chinault of Water Valley, MS; one son, Henry Larry White of Oxford, MS; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin White; sister, Gertrude Bardo, brother, Clerence Reeves; granddaughter, Michelle Reid; and grandson, John Gullette.
