Grovetown,GA- Mrs. Vicki L. Wilkins age 60, wife of forty four years, to John R. Wilkins Sr. entered into rest at her residence on May 13, 2009.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2009 in the Belair Rd. Chapel of Platt’s funeral home at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Harold McNabb officiating.
Survivors include one son, John R. Wilkins Jr. of Grovetown, one daughter, Audra D. Sawka of Raleigh,NC, one sister, H. Christine Knighton of Plano,TX. Five grandchildren, Kristyn L. Wilkins, John R.( Robbie) Wilkins III, Corey M.Wilkins, Tanner E. Sawka, Jacob W.Sawka, A niece Shannon R.Holley of Carrollton,TX and the late Tracy A.Ledwig of S.C. Vicki was the daughter of the late William R. Tester and Martha Helen McBurney, and her brother the late Ronald R.Tester ( Tuck) all of Evans.
Vicki was a lifelong resident of Columbia County and was in law enforcement for approximately 30 years starting out with Sizemore Security and Columbia County Sheriffs Department. She joined the Richmond County Board of Education in 1989 and retired February 1, 2009.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 16, 2009 from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m.
