Hudson, MA
Cynthia A. (Calvao) Almada, 55, of Hudson, died on Thursday, May 14th at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester. She leaves her beloved husband of 29 years, Edward R. “Teddy” Almada of Hudson.
Born in Marlboro, daughter of Manuel Calvao Jr. of Hudson and the late Irene (Ferreira) Calvao who died in 2003. Cynthia was a graduate of Hudson H.S., class of 1972. She worked as a teacher’s aide in the Marlboro Public School system for many years and also worked at Brown’s Body & Paint of Maynard for the past 30 years.
Besides her husband and father, she leaves her daughter, Maria (Almada) Ferrecchia of Hudson; her sister, Lisa Joyce of Westboro; two brothers, Steven Calvao of Hudson and Clifford Calvao of Northboro. She is also survived by her grandson, Edward Ferrecchia and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 18th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 17th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749.
