Thiel Jr., Albert Sterling "Bert", 58, passed away Tuesday (5/12/09) at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Louisville,KY.
He was born in Louisville to Albert Sterling & Elizabeth "Betty" (Ellis) Thiel Sr. He was a Vietnam War Army Veteran and was a Machinist with the Old L & N Railroad.
He was preceeded in death by his Mother.
Survivors include: His Father & Step Mother: Albert Sterling & Rachel Thiel Sr.; Brothers: Karl & Willie (Gail) Thiel; Sisters: Pamela (Ronald) Pryor, Winnie (Dennis) Figge, Cindy (Danny) Craven, & Dee Thiel . Former wife, Susan Thiel and Several Nieces & Nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
Visitation will be Saturday 10 AM - 2 PM.
