KOLB, MARY ELIZABETH MYRICK passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 89 years of age in Hoover, Alabama. Born in Water Valley, MS on October 15, 1919 to Bruce James Myrick, Sr. and Ivy Poteete Myrick, she spent a large part of her life in Baton Rouge, LA. and lived the last 28 years in Water Valley. She was a member of the Water Valley Church of Christ, and a past member of the Garden Club of Water Valley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 60 years Frank Rupert Kolb, Sr., her brothers, Andrew Jackson Myrick and Bruce James Myrick, Jr., and her sister, Marguerite Viola Myrick. She is survived by her son, Frank Rupert (Kay Bankston) Kolb, Jr., her grandsons, Eric Frank (Staci Forrester) Kolb and their children Savannah Kathryn and Carson Forrester; Kyle Bankston (Carrie Cagle) Kolb and their children Lilli Ann and Ila Kate; and Ivan Blake (Jamie Hyche) Kolb and their son James Hendry, all of Hoover.
The visitation will be held on Monday, May 18, 2009 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS from 5 to 7 pm. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 19, at 10:00 a.m. in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home. The committal will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, MS.
