WEBSTER – Robert A. “Bobby” Vandale, Sr., 65, of Negus Street, died Saturday, May 9, at home after being stricken ill.
He leaves a daughter Catherine in California; a sister, Dolores A. Cloutier and her husband Joseph of Auburn; a brother, Peter U. Vandale III and his wife Linda of Dudley; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert A. Vandale, Jr., in 1988.
He was born in Webster, the son of Peter U. Vandale, Jr. and Evelyn L. (Cyr) Vandale, and was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Vandale worked as a leather cutter at Bates Shoe Company. He also worked for Shields Packaging.
He was a member of the United Church of Christ, Federated.
Funeral services will be private. There are no calling hours. Donations in his name may be made to Food Share, c/o United Church of Christ, 4 Church St., Webster, MA 01570. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street.
