Mr. Christopher C. Otis, 52, of 110 York Street, Berlin, NH passed away on Sunday morning May 10, 2009 at his home. He was born in Berlin, NH on Dec. 21, 1956 the son of Phillip A. and Delysia (Rainbow) Otis and was raised in Gorham, NH, was a graduate of GHS with the class of 1976 and then had attended the Vocational Technical School for a time. Upon graduation, he had been employed by the local paper mill until illness forced him to become disabled. His interests were in HO train models, rebuilding and remodeling houses and music. He loved being a Dad and caring for his family.
He is survived by his daughter Debra L. Otis and companion Adam Libby of Berlin; his son Paul Otis and wife Crystal of Berlin; 5 grandchildren Rebecca Stewart, Kylie Stewart, Garrett Otis, Austin Otis and Adrian Otis; s sister Rosemary Roberts of Enfield; 2 brothers Roger Otis and wife Lynne Marie of Long Beach, CA and Mike Otis and wife Ann of Sanbornton; several nieces, nephews, cousins and his former wife Clara (Sanschagrin) Otis; his foster son Paul Prouty and his wife Bobbi Jo and their children Hailey & Jordan of Berlin.
He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Lawrence and his companion of 13 years Sami Lee Dringenberg.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held on Friday May 15, 2009 at 4 PM in the chapel of the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH. Visitation will be on Friday from 2 to 4 PM, prior to the service. Anyone who wishes may make donations to the American Heart Association in his memory.
