In Brockton, May 5, 2009 Charles D. died in the Brockton Veterans Hospital at the age of 56. Charles was born in Waltham to his late parents Herman & Barbara (Daigle) Atchison. He was educated in Taunton schools and had resided in Taunton for the last three years. Prior to living in Taunton, Charles had resided in Oregon. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and hiking. Charles leaves his children Katie Hietala of Fairbanks, Alaska and Erica Corrigan of Crestview, Florida. His grandchildren Rori Eva Corrigan and Finn Isaiah Hietala. His brother Joseph Atchison of Colorado and his sister Maryann Gordan of Taunton. Services are private at the request of the family and are being handled by the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton, MA.
