Frances Miller of Chelsea died on May 9, 2009 at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home. She was 97 years old.
Frances was a lifelong resident of Chelsea whom attended to the Chelsea schools and high school. She went on to pursue her education at Prince College which later became known as Radcliffe College. Frances was a retired social worker for the Boston Children Service. She was a member of Hadassah and the Sisterhood at Temple Emmanuel of Chelsea as well a life member of the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home Auxiliary. She was avid artist who specialized in oil painting.
Frances was the devoted aunt of Melissa R. Miller and her husband Nicholas Plasteras. She was the loving daughter of the late Bessie (Shuman) and Abraham Miller. Frances was the dear sister of the late Dr. Harold Miller, Dr. Elliot Miller, and Lester Miller.
Services at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq.) Chelsea on Monday, May 11 at 1:00 PM. Interment in Danvers. Memorial observance at the home of Melissa R. Miller and Nicholas Plasteras on Monday following interment & Tuesday from 3-7 PM. Contributions in Frances’s memory may be made to the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home Foundation, 17 Lafayette Ave., Chelsea, MA 02150.
