Herman Arruda, age 83, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Kimwell Nursing Home where he received superior care from the warm, caring and compassionate staff of Kimwell as well as the Beacon Hospice Staff. Herman was born on August 16, 1925 and was the beloved son of the late Dialena (Moreira) Arruda and John B. Arruda. He was the brother of Rita Albuquerque of Manchester, NH and Raymond B. Arruda and his wife Marianne of Somerset, MA as well as the late Eileen Tavares and John Arruda. He also leaves 7 nephews, 1 niece, several great nephews and great nieces and many cousins.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St., Fall River TUESDAY with visitation from 8:30 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church, Essex St., Fall River at 10:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. There is no Monday calling hours.
