Domenico Federico, 93 of Medford, died Thursday after a brief illness in the Youville Hospital, Cambridge, MA.
Born in Italy, he lived in Medford for the past 25 years and formerly of the North End of Boston. He was the son of the late Concetta (Federico) and Panfilo Federico. Domenico was a Laborer with Local #22 with he had worked for 54 years in construction in the Boston area and retired 33 years ago.
Beloved husband of Alighiera (Federico) Federico. Devoted father of Connie Federico and her husband Adolfo of Saugus, Rosa Giammarco and her husband Giuseppe of Boston, Dr. Francesco Federico and his wife Lauren of California, Miranda Federico-DiGenova and her husband Antonio of Waltham, Panfilo Federico of Medford. Loving grandfather of Rita Sweat and her husband Michael, Donna Angelo and her husband David, Anthony Federico and his wife Lisa, Linda Husak and her husband Carlos, Doreen Giammarco, Enrico Giammarco and his wife Mindy, Domenic Giammarco and his wife Elena, Thomas and Paul DiCenso, Nicholas and Christina Federico. Also survived by 9 loving great grandchildren. Brother of Oliviero Federico and his wife Maria of Boston, Filomena Federico of Argentina.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Sunday 4 - 9.
Services will conclude with entombment at St. Michael Mausoleum, Boston.
