Obituary

Edward B. Weedon Jr, of Plymouth, passed away on May 6th at the age of 81 at Life Care Center. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (Kelley), he is survived by his children Bob Pereira of Georgetown, John Weedon of Arlington, Elizabeth Moss and her husband Andy of Plymouth, Barbara Jackman and her husband Peter of Pembroke and James Weedon and his wife Gilda of Somerville. He also leaves his sister Virginia Kelley of Osprey, FL and 10 grandchildren. Father of the late Edward B. Weedon III and brother of the late Mary Harrington. Edward grew up in Belmont, lived in Scituate for 20 years and has lived in Plymouth for 10 years after spending his summers here for the past 22 years. Edward graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Boston University and served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the 505th Military Police. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 30th at St. Bonaventure’s Church in Plymouth at 10 AM. There are no visiting hours and burial will held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Center Inc, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215 or to the charity of one’s choice.
