Ostrea, Teofila Raagas of Quincy, at the age of 62 died on May 8, 2009. The beloved daughter of Casiana Raagas Ostrea and the late Enrique Ostrea. She is survived by two loving sisters Concepcion Sumaylo and Maria Teresa Kintanar and four cherished brothers, Enrique Ostrea, Jr., Aniano Ostrea, Pedro Oscar Ostrea and Referendo Ostrea and the late Vivian & Rolando Ostrea all of the Philippines.Teofila is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends around the country.
She graduated from Adamson University in the Philippines with a degree in chemical engineering. She came to the United States in 1970 and began working at Children Hospital. She then took a new position at Massachusetts General Hospital and has worked there for 30 years. Teofila also worked part time at Carney Hospital. She was a devout catholic and very active at St. Mary's Parish in West Quincy. She will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Monday at 9:15.
Funeral Mass in Saint Mary's Church, Quincy at 10 AM.
Visiting hours Sunday 4- 8 PM.
Teofila will be flown back to her family in the Philippines for her burial.
