Obituary

Mary Bernadette” Bernie” Wagner, 74, of Whitman, died Thursday May 7th in the Good Samaritan Medical Center, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of Douglas S. Wagner. She was born in Boston, daughter of the late Walter and Frances E. (Coolan) DeWolfe. Bernie was brought up in Boston and was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School and also attended Westford Academy. She has been a resident of Whitman since 1960 and was employed as an Electronic Test at the former Foxboro Company in East Bridgewater. Her hobbies were going to the casinos, loved to go out to eat and most of all, she loved being with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Douglas, she is survived by her children, Duane Wagner and his wife Carrie of Middleboro and Deborah Delaney and her husband Greg of Raynham, Her brother James DeWolfe of Hudson , her sister Constance Hubbard of New Jersey; also loving grandmother of Aidan, Nolhan and Stephen Wagner, James and Dwayne Delaney; many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Douglas Wagner, JR. and sister of the late Robert DeWolfe and Ellie Blumhopher.
Her services will be held on Saturday May 16th at 1:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Interment will be at a later date. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 12:00-1:00PM.
